With the Coronavirus crisis deepening by the day, many businesses are rightly worried about what the effect on them will be in the short, medium and long term.

Whilst the chancellor unveiled some measures in last weeks budget relating to sick pay and emergency loan funding, it is anticipated that more will have to be announced soon given the deepening crisis.

MoynanSmith will continue to give updates as we receive new information but it is vital that businesses protect their cashflow in the short term. In these uncertain times, cash will most definitely be key.

For those with upcoming tax liabilities, HMRC have a special dedicated helpline 0800 0159 559 which is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday.

Get ahead of the issue and make plans now, including reviewing your insurance policies.

We would always suggest early dialogue with any creditors, including HMRC, banks, suppliers, etc in order to come to arrangements that help.

If you require any further help or advice please get in touch via our contact form or on 01228 586790, our thoughts are with everyone during this difficult time.
